Here is the link to the higher res jpg. This one you should be able
to read, the thumbnail on the web is not readable. The whole article
is only 1 page but the user seems to have put quite a few miles on it,
using it's sidecar to store fuel.... The similarity to me is in the
overall size and shape. The internal dimensions are hard to judge, but
the fact that no throat is visible and no heat marks are obvious would
lead me to believe that it is lined like the Chinese version with a
refractory material. The filter/cooler unit looks very flashy, I
wonder if it is original? My grandfather rode bikes similar to this
one (gasoline ver), and he said they ran around 12hp, so if that were
down rated for wood gas that would be 8hp? That sounds very close to
the right output for your small diesel engine experiments. One of the
critical issues seems to be the size and shape of the reduction tube.
The FAO documents seem to say that the reduction tube should never be
smaller diameter than about 2", which seems about the same as the
Chinese version, the tricky thing is that it seems to me that the
Chinese version's reduction tube is very short? the FAO docs seem to
call for much longer? This guy is running his on hardwood, not
charcoal as I stated earlier.

All the best
Drew
