[Gasification] Examples of Indian Institute of Science Gasifiers

The Combustion, Gasification & Propulsion Laboratory (CGPL), in the Dept. of
Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, has
supplied many gasifiers in India. Thanks to Mrs. Gayathri V at IISC I have
posted a document has profiles of 14 gasifiers including the Arashi Hi-Tech
Biopower Ltd, which is an independent power producer that is making a high
valued partially activated carbon co-product. The gasifiers are operating on
a wide variety of fuels. Many have operated for more than 2000 hours.

 

IISc also supplied the gasifier at Bihar that was recently reported in the
International Herald Tribune and New York Times.
