Dear Tom and All:
I have visited the CGP lab 3 times and know their work well. Arguably
they are the most advanced gasification lab in the world. While the
official name of the lab is the Combustion Gasification and Propulsion
Lab, I prefer to remember it as the "Combustion Gasification and
Pyrolysis Lab", since many things beside propulsion come from pyrolysis,
then gasifcation, then combustin.
My colleague, Agua Das spent three weeks in India in January and several
days at the CGPLab. Wish they were in this country. We have nothing
comparable here.
Prof. Mukunda was the head of the lab for many years, but he retired
last year. Mrs.Gayathri V is a pal of mine and I hope she will write us
a note on the current status of the lab.
Yours truly,
TOM REED
