[Gasification] engines (TESLA TURBINE)

Tesla did actually build working turbines of his design, and, at one
point was involved with Allis-Chalmers in producing them, but they never
got a commercial version out. There is, however, a company that sells a
version of the tesla turbine as a pump. And there are a number of very
active Tesla turbine enthusiasts around the world, and two discussion
groups on yahoo.

There is a 3rd, but it seems to be not well maintained and full of spam.

He didn't invent just the induction motor, he invented AC electricity
and florescent light bulbs, radio control -- he had a radio control
model submarine that he tried to sell to the Navy back before WWI, IIRC,
but they were so closed-minded they wouldn't even let him demo it to
them, but he definitely had it working. He actually should be credited
with inventing radio itself, Marconi just stole his ideas.
Tesla was one of the greatest geniuses of the world. Absolutely
amazing the stuff he was working on -- he had a machine that caused
earthquakes, or at least the start of one, before he turned it off.
Interesting that the feds grabbed all his papers when he died and still
won't release them.
