It sounds like "buyer beware" in the low cost genset market. Add to that the
complications of getting clean gas from a "low cost" gasifier and you have
part of the story behind many failed small scale gasification projects.

Well dang..this exactly what happened to me. I bought a number of chinese
diesel generators from a company in New Zealand  and when the engines began
to fail the supplier abandoned me. I took these new engines to Fiji and it
caused loads of difficulties and never received any support or replacement
parts or any kind of warranty support. In fact the supplier denied that
there was anything wrong since he believed they where quality. I sent him a
stream of photos showing things from holes in batteries to smashed
crankshaft bearings etc but he still remained in denial. Makes me wonder. !!
