Gasification Pilot Project: GASIFIER PROTOTYPES TESTING & WORKSHOP ON PILOT
PROJECT MONITORING 23-25, July 2007, Iisc, Banglore, India

The above event will be conducted as part of the pilot projects on
gasification technology for small scale thermal applications, presently
being carried out in Indonesia, Nepal, India and Lao P.D.R.  The purpose of
the event will be to test out gasifier stoves which had been developed by
CGPL-IISc for the pilot projects and to discuss monitoring plan for the
pilot projects. Technical officers from the respective projects will be
attending the training. 

In May 26, 2007, ARECOP Manager, Christina Aristanti, after attending PCIA
Third Biannual Forum, visited CGPL-IISc. She had the chance to see gasifier
stoves developed by IISC for the gasification pilot projects in Nepal (Lapsy
candy processing) and India (Restaurant cooking). During this visit
Christina also met with Mr. Kumar Swamy of Technology Design Endeavour
(TIDE) who was involved in the pilot project. Mr. Swamy presented the
progress of the pilot project implemented by TIDE.
