I recently built an air drier for providing dry air to our laser cutting machine.






The required air quality (dryness) is -60f. The machine is relatively simple.
Consisting of two 6" dia.x 48" long?tanks, filled with molecular sieve.
In order for this unit to provide a continuous flow of dry air, it requires a 5 port change over valve at the bottom 
input end of this pair of columns.
While in put shop?air is passing up through one column to a?250 gallon storage tank. a small bleed of this super dry air is diverted down 
through the the second column in order to purge collected moisture, within, to atmosphere via the exhaust port of the electrically operated 
dual 5 port valve. This valve reverses about every 180 seconds.
Neither of the columns get fully "SATURATED" as the moisture is driven out by the bleed air before it saturates right up to the top of either column.
So it never needs to be regenerated by heat.
What I want to know is: does the treated air come out nitrogen free as well as being dry?

How would any small scale gasifier operator like to be able to get rid of
most of the N2 going into their "zone" -- eh??

Thus making the small gasifier a true syngas producer.

Like the big boys do with the huge coal gasifying power plants in europe!!

It is all about a small PSA system --

PSA oxygen module utilizes pressure adsorption oxygen principle, and
