[Gasification] OT Ethanol or diesel conversions -- was Re: Tuning for Speed

Peter,
I wonder about distillation. Best case: aquahol. Unless you want to
azeotrope the water off with toluene or use molecular sieves like the ETOH
industry does. 5% water? If it's a good thing I'll start to add Everclear to
my gas tank, as no one around here believes that gasoline is not forever.
Distillation is not cheap. None of the ethanol plants that I am aware of (I
was in Iowa last week!) uses ethanol as a thermal source for distillation.
What's wrong with this picture?

True -- but waste gating is wasting energy -- I believe they are working on
"smart" turbos now?? Where instead of dumping compressed are -- they adjust
blower parameters to blow less?

Dragsters only though --- and a big difference -- though energy cost is the
same or better with the aguahol -- you do need bigger fuel tanks to get the
same distance.

The easiest conversion is a Ford Pickup -- 100 -- 150 models -- an old one
still solid - -that has a monster V-8 engine in them.
You should be able to find one of those real cheap -- at Gas Hogs Anonymous
--
I'll then send you complete conversion details -- free --
It is so easy to do!!
You stiip the V-8 down to just a bare main crank and oil pump -- then belt
drive to the 195 single by making up a special front pulley.

You can only add gasoline to pure ethanol -- any water or even humidity
present -- and they do not mix.
It is not easy at all to make pure ethanol.
Hey Harmon -- the words to this song go this way:
Use E85 for fuel -- and your totally dependent on the "system"
Use white lightening and you can roll your own.
Granted -- very few people even realize that difference is important -- more
the shame for the future in general to.
