Has anyone tried a feed screw with both axial and rotary motion, as on a plastic injection molding machine? I imagine a screw that is a close fit in a cylinder, using pure axial motion to feed material, and then unscrewing the plunger as it backs up for the next stroke. This could add some useful agitation. Best, Bob Stuart
