Not sure where you got your quoted text,  but it said :

The only logical reason why the alcohol program ot being implemented all 
over the globe is simple.....

One hectare of land will only support two vehicles

Ethanol from corn releases only 25% net energy than the fossil fuels 
required to produce it

If the US automakers can't get much more than 25mpg out of gasoline powered 
vehicles ( a 100 year old mature technology) they don't really stand a 
chance with ethanol.
