That depends, there are rules, there are quite a lot of things it 
won't tolerate. The website says: "All aspects of biofuels and their 
use are covered -- biodiesel, ethanol, other alternative fuels, 
related technologies and issues, energy issues, environment, 
sustainability and more." It all comes with a context, and all 
attempts so far to define "OT" have failed. With a global membership 
and a great diversity of views, what might be off-topic to one turns 
out to be very much on-topic to another, while "off-topic" 
digressions often turn up things that are on-topic by any measure. 
But there's room for everything (except BS), though you have to be 
prepared to substantiate what you say. Complaints about "off-topic 
political crap" and so on tend to be rather selective, all they 
usually mean is "I don't agree with it." (Well have the honesty to 
say so then.)
