[Gasification] catalyst

Peter,
You once again missed the point. What I'm asking about is for a downdraft gasifier that has only enough oxygen to complete the burn after the grate, being fed into a second stage catalytic unit (close coupled) thus supplying the thermal energy for a second stage that is oxygen starved. Not a batch process with excess oxygen but a controlled continuous feed of several feed stocks in a second chamber (my proposed design being cross flow in that section).
The processes that you describe appears to be similar, yet clearly different than what I have described. I'll re-read your exceptionally long discourse to discern what is said as I was sidetracked by your personal digs.
As for my experience, I have worked for hardwood sawmills designing, fabricating and installing their industrial systems for 25 years, worked for a boiler manufacturer doing application engineering (my boss was ASME Section 7 chairman for 15 years) and worked building prototypes and heat rise testing (UL) for Square D developing new electrical distribution equipment. I have personally engineered and hands on installed 4000 amp 480 volt electrical systems, saving the company that I worked for over a million dollars. Have you ever strung (16) 500 mcm cables per phase (4 wire)? So lay off on the personal cuts and keep your critical comments confined to the gasification topic. I'm not another dumb ass theorizing about something that will never be built.
I have a thick enough skin to handle argument about design. "Tom" Taylor received a rough drawing and I welcome his comments, even if they are negative. But what good does saying that he is too polite to be critical do, it simply leave me in the dark with no reasoned explanation.
I for one am not running off to a foreign county, blaming everyone else for the worlds problems. Perhaps you have been a part of this list for long enough to have seen the technical issues that I'm asking about...if so, then reference them and stop being my chief critic and accuser. I contribute to many other forums concerning the world issues you discuss here, but generally go off list and are not personally critical, until now.
If somebody has a comment about my proposed design, please think about how it is differing from what you've seen in practice, then do not hesitate to argue the point. I welcome discussion that will keep me from making a serious error, don't just stop by telling me I'm full of ---it, that's way too personal.
