[Gasification] Biomas to Electricity

Our industrial forests around here depend on Biomass-Electricity conversion
to clean up logging waste. We have two plants in the area. One is a CHP
producing electricity for the grid and process steam for a sawmill. The
other is a 10 MW electricity only facility using a moving grate system,
steam, turbine, etc. This company runs three plants, the largest is a 20 MW
system that uses a fluid bed combustor to burn the chips. The current price
for chips (called hog or bunker fuel) is US$35/ton.

I personally am building a gasifier to get process heat and gas for a
charcoal kiln system, this will use wood waste from my little sawmill.

IMHO unless one farms trees and processes them, fuel for a gasification
system will be hard to get.
