Hi. Just joined. Hope to browse archives soon. Main question at this time:
Is someone doing reliable wood gasification conversion, or can give me
reliable DIY plans? Have 87 Nissan pickup, 4 cyl. Like to keep the gasoline
option, but I'm getting killed at the pumps (like everyone), so burning wood
when possible would be nice. Live on a farm. Lots of wood, various species.
Pickup has fiberglass canopy over box - may be suitable to house fuel,
burner, etc. I'm told a reliable method of removing excessive carbon from
the woodgas now exists (something akin to new vacum cleaner technology).
Good, as I don't want to take apart my engine too often (never would be
nice). I'm welder/metal fabricator, so one possiblity is a trade. For a good
design/know how, I can provide tools and shop and skills. We could each
build a wood gasified vehicle. I can provide room and board free while you
are here. I live near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. As said, getting
reliable plans is a good second option. Thanks, H end
