[Gasification] Community small scale gasification systems.

I am a member of a rural village group (Somerset UK)  looking into Community
owned power generation schemes (a 500mw wind turbine is one possibility) 

The project is at a very early stage and it may make more sense to look at
alternative means eg combining resources with a local farm and utilise
agricultural wastes for power generation. CHP would be good too. 

  Is there anyone out there who has experience, good or bad, of setting up a
project such as this.
