You probably mean 500kW(e) which is 500,000 Watts of electrical power,
the Watt gets capitalised because it is the name of the man the SI
unit of power is named after.

CHP is pretty difficult to accommodate with existing buildings.

CHP in new build can turn out to be a fiasco using reciprocating
engines and wood feedstock, this still isn't mature technology if you
expect modern ease and convenience. It was adequate a hundred years
ago but then very high carbon coal was the fuel and the price of
electricity in real terms was exceeding high.

Not me, I was only a bystander but I live in hope.

If you are bound to do it on the 500kW scale then I would first
consider the wind turbine then next an anaerobic digestion system,
using a dedicated arable feedstock, unless you can employ someone full
time to look after the gasifier.

May I visit when you have something running?
