I don't think anyone has gotten it down that far.  AFAIR, the  
struggle has been to get more than one barrel out by burning two on  
site.  By the time you add in the high and still escalating costs of  
extraction and processing, including what the workers use, it may be  
a net loss.  The companies may still be finding economies at the sand  
face, but it is getting more expensive to support human beings in the  
area per capita as the environment gets overwhelmed.
