Rex, two britons few time ago was patented an system to collect carbon dioxide from exhaust pipe in cars. Using algae they try to form material useful to form algae oil . But algae have near of 50 percent of proteins. What is better?

Something else that may make this debate interesting is ethanol from
algae. Algae have one major benefit over woody material in that algae
does not have lignin. Consequently, the need to strip away the
protective lignin is not required for converting the cellulose in algae
to glucose and subsequently to ferment the glucose to ethanol.
Furthermore, algae grows at a much faster rate than woody biomass making
the production per acre significant. This allows the conversion to be
low without huge penalty.

I have many ideas on this and welcome any debate on this topic off line
as it is not really a topic for gasification.

Rex
