    That's sure not the case in any National Forest in the midwest.
Most of it's pretty mature trees, or planted plantations. In fact I
live in a mature climax forest of sugar maple, yellow birch, and black
ash, along with some large spruce and balsam and white pine. Near me
is also very mature aspen. . I can't image a National Forest with
"trash" trees? What species would those be?
