For as unpleasant as that sounds, Douglas is right - especially in this
case.
Anyone doing anything?!
All that was needed (IMO) was a couple of word changes and the question
would have been more legitimate.
Of the experimental models discussed in this group, are there designs
which have been successfully and repeatably built, then used in a
practical application? If so, are there prints and instructions
available on the web?
Instead, it was (intentionally or not) implied that this group just
babbles about theory all day without actually putting anything to a test.
I have to say that while waiting for a welding machine, I've been
desperate enough to experiment with coffee cans. This group armed me
with knowledge, so I could move with a sense of purpose and without much
hesitation, even though it was my first attempt. I got a fairly clean
looking blue flame with nothing more than a bucket, two coffee cans, a
can opener (for punching ventilation and exhaust holes) and a computer fan.
...and no prints.
