Dear Sirs,
I'm an Italian mechanical engineering student at University of
Florence. For studying and perspective work i'm getting interested in
biomass thermochemical conversions, especially gasification.
In this period i'm writing my third year thesis under the supervision of
Dr. David Chiaramonti and i'm now beginning to collect some data about
downdraft charcoal gasifiers. Despite literature about BM thermal
conversions is largely extensive, I couldn't find really relevant
articles, papers, experiences or bibliography about the subject.
Concerning producer gas characterization, the only "paper" i found is
the 1986 FAO Forestry paper #72 "wood gas as engine fuel" which cites
the range of "commercial" charcoal gasifier producer gas composition;
almost all the rest of the authors cite charcoal gasification as a
common technology during the period of WWII etc etc but no (may be
apparently) significant data are reported...
Could somebody give me some suggestions? Thank you and
Best Regards.
