>Dear Sirs,
>I'm an Italian mechanical engineering student at University of
>Florence. For studying and perspective work i'm getting interested in
>biomass thermochemical conversions, especially gasification.
>In this period i'm writing my third year thesis under the supervision of
>Dr. David Chiaramonti and i'm now beginning to collect some data about
>downdraft charcoal gasifiers. Despite literature about BM thermal
>conversions is largely extensive, I couldn't find really relevant
>articles, papers, experiences or bibliography about the subject.
>Concerning producer gas characterization, the only "paper" i found is
>the 1986 FAO Forestry paper #72 "wood gas as engine fuel" which cites
>the range of "commercial" charcoal gasifier producer gas composition;
>almost all the rest of the authors cite charcoal gasification as a
>common technology during the period of WWII etc etc but no (may be
>apparently) significant data are reported...
>Could somebody give me some suggestions? Thank you and

>Best Regards.
