[Gasification] Question: Connecting a gasifier to a microCHPunit

Dear colleagues; we are studying an "Fire Train" composed by carbon dioxide ignited by Plasma Torch sending hot product over wood chips. This way carbon dioxide acts as splitter of moisture present in wood to form oxygen and hydrogen. Plasma permits temperatures till 10.000 Kelvin degrees. Waste heat is saved to make steam for wet processes searching for ethanol and cellulose for paper industry. Sythesis gas is useful to make methanol then we work in closed circuit to avoid emissions. Actually all boilers send to atmosphere carbon dioxide capturing an few amount of useful energy . Here in interior of São Paulo state we are planning to use wind generators able to bring 2MW for electric energy necessity to plasma device. We invite doctor Carlos Eduardo Vieira Ribeiro to leader our proposal named it "Alto da Serra Wind Energy". Another place in our region useful for wind generators are Bon-Bon corner and São Roque County. Electric generators are made sixty miles from our base
www.wobben.com.br in Sorocaba city. Recently Gruning in Austria was awarded for its clean energy system. We are also focused in 2 MW wood gas plants like "Distibois" to produce wood gas, liquid piroligneous, tar and charcoal. One metric ton /hour gives sufficient energy to fuel this power source based on Detroit Diesel Engines 149 series V12, V16 and V20 near of 2.400 HP

You are correct. The $3900CDN includes stirling, heat exchanger and
generator head. From heat exchanger hot gas inlet backwards would be your
business. I'm not sure what the Gasifier would cost.

Phil,

Thanks for the report. Is that CDN 3900/kW (USD 3700/kW)just for the
Stirling and heat exchanger and so the CDN 5,300/kW (USD $5,000/kW) gasifier
is extra?

Thanks

Tom
