[Gasification] spark discussion on dry filters

Has there been a vehicle system for particulates smaller than is captured
in a cyclone? These systems must be dry-phase. Gas temperature in my system
at which point I want to install a good one is around 100F . The gas at this
point has been reheated from first cooling from 675F (cyconed) to 90F.
Reheating the saturated gas, adds latent heat to return water-vapor not
condenced back to a gas. Cold start-up has been a problem with paper
filters. Perhaps bypass-valving around the paper element.
At present, I am using a very large straw-packed element. Down-stream
settling-chambers show evidence of small-volume of fine particles. a
washable K&N F150 filter element may fit the bill, but they cost $40. I
constructed a filter body to fit in-line. The filter body holds a paper
element The element fell-apart after just one backfire pressure wave. I
removed the body from the line.

Having gone 700 miles in the F150 so far since replacing the GMC. My
maple block fueled pickup is running well. Today I picked-up a load of
kiln-dried flooring cut-offs fueled almost entirely on wood.

Clouds of smoke left in traffic behind the system have been eliminated by
using a nozzle distributor manifold equipped with a suction valve for total
primary air (which now can be ducted and preheated). I also improved engine
combustion luft controls. enabling smoother transition between Ford EFI and
united-nation (swedish) woodgas. Direct operator or (gasifier-system)
variable Injector dutycycle is next after a good filter is used to protect
the powerful Ford cylinder-bores.

I'm finding excess gas spills out of the mixer when I decend a particular
hill, then climb up the next hill. This needs to be ducted somewhere safe!
