Currently looking for a small gasifier (in fact indirect heater)for the use
of airdry saw dust. It would be a type of indirect combustion so that the
wood gases can be burned in a combustor to replace a diesel burner system.
The system feeds a corn dryer. The technical parameters are given below. Can
you let me know if you have such systems and at what costs? It seems that in
India this is a well known technology?
Tabla 3 Calculo de aserrín & tamaño de la gasificador & quemador

Total of sawdust needed
kg/hr 75
kg/min 1.24
kg/s 0.021
Factor de seguridad 1.25

Saw dust input kg/min 1.56

Capacity Heat production neta kWt 205

Dear John,
As licensees of the award wining IISc gasification technology, we have
installed gasifiers for thermal energy, power generation and trigeneration
at 16 installations in India and abroad in the capacity range of 25 kWe to
1.5 MWe. Our 1100 kg/h thermal gasifier in a chemical unit has clocked over
30,000 hours of operation and our grid connected MWe class unit has clocked
over 16,000 hours. Both units have used coconut shells and Prosopsis as
biomass.
We offer thermal, electrical power, Combined Heat & Power and trigeneration
solutions in the 20 kWe - 5 MWe range in modules and with BIGCC. Please get
back to us with details of your location, expected PLF, geographical spread
of district heat supply, target biomass characteristics and other details to
enable us to respond.
Perhaps you need to correct the numbers. A couple of thousand $/MW would be
a humongous bargain :).
Regards.

> Hello:

> First time poster. I'm looking for information availability for a
commercially operated wood gasifier. I don't mean a 15-20 second video on
U-Tube. I mean one that will successfully work for months and years. I'm
looking for equipment to generate gas for running a diesel engine, and
excess heat for districk heating. I'm thinking electrical generation in the
500 kW to one MW range. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've looked all
over the web, but found nothing that is economicially feasible. Meaning
equipment cost less tha a couple thousand dollars a MW. Thanks again.
