As Tom Jopson has now identified himself regarding this project, I can now
say this is the Project shown on the Fluidyne Archive
www.fluidynenz.250x.com under "Fluidyne in California". The project is now
ready to proceed to a new level of activity, and will provide answers to
some important questions and issues, needed to support widespread use to
impliment commercial gasification.
I have just returned from Chile and just catching up on the mail back- log,
but will add a set of photos on the Fluidyne Archive shortly, of the 100 kWe
(380 kWt) gasifier just built and tested in Chile. This trip coinsided with
the huge increases in the cost of oil and gasious fuels, and the
implications for many manufacturing facilities is serious, as process heat
consumption cannot be maintained at the same scale without fossil fuels. The
messages are clear, but solutions need more than lip service to impliment,
if economic activity is to be rescued, albeit at a lower level during the
transition to biomass energies.
Doug Williams,
Fluidyne.
