Dr Haard, yes it is for paper mills in Santa Catarina state in border whose factorys are needed raw material. But for energy early or late we dont have enemys in price from other biofuels. Wood resist three hundred miles freight and charcoal near one thousand . This is an "eyemeter" measure but it happens in Brazil and also in Argentine. Wood have 3.500 Kcal/Kg and charcoal 7.000 Kcal/Kg.
  Regards, Ben

For manufacture of paper I presume. Or is the purpose for energy source?

Here we receive wood chips from Siberia and Canada of course. Movement
of fungus parasites and insects are a concern especially gypsy moth.
