Andy, thanks for your answer. Electric generator is for blowers of foundry if black out energy  happen. This foundry also uses araucaria knots with good results.Not only mechanics dont know about gasification. Me in University of La Plata was study with Engineer Marcelo Mesny author of many books about gasifiers but in this era 1962 gasifiers was replaced by oil. Benjamin

 I try my best to understand the articles you write when they pertain to thermal biomass gasification. Not many US auto mechanics have even heard of gasification. 
 
 The system you describe to power that foundry is sized like my system. I use maple blocks I hack out of logs too crooked to mill into hardwood flooring. Moisture content is below 20%. It is only a guess, but does that particular foundry primarily use the charcoal for melting metal? Or is the melting normally done with electrical-discharge? It would be nice to have all capabilities when economics or circumstance favor any method, or capacity to operate sustainably.
 
 Historically, all the hardwood was cut-down and fed to the charcoal-furnace to make pig-iron here. Coal was then brought in by boat. Now the trees have grown back.
