[Gasification] Electric Pyrolysis

Dear List,

Does anyone have any experience/information on the use of electric
resistance coils to generate the heat for gasification rather than oxidation
of char? This would effectively create an electric 'pyrolysis kiln.' Is it
possible to achieve a positive energy balance this way?
