I share your enthusiasm about Jim's project but I disagree with your
statement below. 

 

There has been discussion about the "Science of Gasification" on the list.
The technical content - the discussion of science - of the list has put some
people in business and kept others out of financial trouble.  We have
ensured that anyone with access to the internet can view those discussions
in our archives by using the many search engines. We have also put some of
that "Science" on the web with links to websites like your own, the IEA Task
33 on gasification, and hundreds of other links and citations. Your own
contributions can be found at:

You have been the technical moderator of the Gasification list since we
started it in 1996 and we appreciate your efforts to keep us grounded in the
Science of Gasification. Your note reminds me that since you have said that
your current activities do not allow you to continue as technical moderator
we need new volunteers to take up the task. Anyone who is interested should
send me an email. (There is no pay. It costs a few hours a week. But the
experience is invaluable.)
