<Building materials are extremely expensive.  Last I checked, copper wire
went up 280% this year.  That is not a misprint.

That's a grim assessment.  (Here Inside The Beltway, my projects are much
smaller than two years ago, but we're still building furiously--for the
moment.)  

In one sense, however, it may be a long overdue readjustment, as the cost of
construction fungibles had been pretty flat for the prior twenty five odd
years.
