Stucco, if you mean "EIFS" or "DRYVIT" is a moisture trapping monster.  You definitely need a different set of details if you are using this material.  You will need an AIR GAP behind the stucco, and a drainage plane (like Tyvek) made of a different materials specifically made for this kind of stucco.  
 
If stucco means traditional lime plaster (not Cement plaster) you can relax a little more, this is a more permeable material.  I would not use EIFS on a residential building.  It is used on commercial a lot, and I would n't do it there either.
