Although I don't get an allergic reaction, I have been moving away from 
all those nasty chemical soaps.  I use for household cleaners, dilute 
white vinegar, baking soda, and washing soda (rarely).  Match the 
cleaner to the stain (vinegar for alkaline stains, baking soda for 
acidic stains).  New house is a great time to dispense with those 
things.
