Wait a minute, "pollution," to me, implies too much of something. There are "acceptable levels" of pollutants: non-harmful
levels. Burning a wood fire in the middle of nowhere isn't going to hurt anyone. It's not going to build up and make smog.
He wasn't suggesting that it was okay to be inefficient just because you're in the middle of nowhere, he was just saying that
the nasty-factor isn't as great.

You seem to be implying that is acceptable to pollute the rural areas because of the small proportion of particulates in
comparison to urban areas.
A double standard, right? Sort of like if there are a group of people in a big room and I smoke a cigarette in the corner,
and everybody else is in the opposite corner, it is alright?
Sounds to me as if your perspective is a little skewed...
