If you're referring to what I said, I'll simply comment that
in the rural area where I live part of the year and where wood is
a very common source of heat, much of it generated by very inefficient
stoves, you'd have a hard time finding enough people who were
concerned about woodsmoke pollution to fill up a table at the
local donut shop. Notwithstanding that, efficient woodburning
appliances are highly desirable for reasons of cost and overall
ecological integrity.
That being said, there are certainly areas of the world where wood
burning is an important source of environmental degradation
and if you live in one of them, you're fully justified in
making an issue of it.
