Point well taken about the galvanized deck screws :^)

 

Here in DC, where almost all of the "wet" trades (concrete and masonry,
drywall, painting) and a huge portion of carpentry work is performed by the
strong backs and willing hands of centroamericanos: chapins, nicas, ticos,
catarachos, and, probably more than all the former combined, guanacos
(guatamaltecos, nicaraguenses, costaricenses, hondurenos, and
salvadorenos)-"sheetrock" becomes "chiroc;" hence "chiroqueno."
