A thick baseboard around the perimeter of the exterior walls is
simple, and holds all the wiring you need. Having a section for power,
and another for signal is also a win. For plumbing think about access
panels, minimal distance traveled, and little horizontal movement
within walls.
These are simple things you can do, that don't require redesigning the
house. Consider it this way; if you need to rip apart the house to
rewire, you are going to need a redesign anyway.
