Thanks a BUNCH, Alan, Rob, and Bruce for the suggestions.  I couldn't 
think of a material to stuff in the cracks that wouldn't leave 
bee-sized gaps where it crinkled, but Alan's thoughts about getting 
screen tubes to keep their shapes are awesome, and the materials Rob 
and Bruce suggest are ones I haven't seen before and they sound 
promising.  So all together I'm feeling much more hopeful about an 
easy solution :).  I will scoot down to the store and take a look at 
these options.
