A while back there was a discussion of bamboo fencing materials and such.

I don't know if this company,  Bamboo And Rattan Works, Inc, from 
Lakewood, New Jersey, has ever been mentioned on this list before, but 
they've been around since 1880 and are going strong. This is worth 
looking at if you haven't already seen it.
