Bob

There are probably folks on the list who are better versed in FLW's
work, but I know that he designed at least one terrific solar home. I
can't remember the name of it now, but it is a semi-circular house set
into the ground, with a stone-lined semicircular courtyard in front,
completing the circle and creating a lovely microclimate for the living
space. The living space is open, with all south glazing and bermed to
the north.

No idea about insulation values etc. or heating system or other
features. It was used as an example of pre-OPEC solar planning in a
keynote address a few years ago.

Anyone have more to say about FLW's work and sustainability?

Cheers

Shawna
