[Greenbuilding] Tear resistant Crawl Space Vapor Barrier

I have used a 2 ply, 6 mil, cross laminated polyethylene  barrier. I put 
down two layers (just to be sure), but  this stuff seems plenty tough 
and looks like it could stand up to a lot of abuse. If you google, you 
should find plenty of suppliers. Here's one I just took a quick look at:
