Hey at that price I might install one myself! The outdoor shower is
already roughed in.

Hi, Lawrence--

We installed one of the Moen bibbs on our new house, to be connected to
an outdoor shower in the summer. I like that you can set the temperature
and it's always the same when its turned on. Ours cost $60 and I have
seen them on the web under $45.

Best,

a new fixture Moen had brought out recently.

These are frost-free outside taps, the kind you can leave 'on' all

winter in freezing zones, but with a difference. These new ones allow

you to connect the tap to both the cold and hot water lines, just as

many indoor fixtures are now capable of doing.

For a while when we lived out in the woods we installed an outdoor tub -

just a standard cast iron tub, and used standard thru-wall hose hydrants

one plumbed hot and one plumbed cold. Filling the tub in the winter and

peering out at the snow in a steaming bath was an amazing experience.

We'd also fill it with cold water and jump in when it was hot. Didn't

seem to need $80 faucets at all.
