I'm putting in a 95% efficient furnace in an old farm house and am at the point of deciding how to dispose of the acidic condensate. I don't know what the pH of this is but am hesitant about running it down the drain into the septic system. The tank and laterals are a little iffy as is. One solution that came to mind is running it into a bucket of limestone gravel in the crawl space to evaporate or continuing on to a dead well. This solution isn't well thought out and like many such, often come back to bite me in the drawers. Any thoughts?
Thanks for your suggestions.
