[Greenbuilding] Hot Water Heater options

I wonder if demand electric might not be worthwhile in some situations. 
These can be small and fitted close to the fixture. Piping with hot 
water, the electric unit would only work to bring the water in the line 
back up to temp 'till the heated water got there.
