Khalil;
I would venture that plain old, salvaged, concrete block or urbanite
(salvaged broken concrete chunks) might be a better choice than wood for
the application you have in mind.
And 100 years down the road when you're too old to garden anymore, the
block can simply be lifted and re-used elsewhere.
