Paul,

You will find the following two links interesting if you are 
interested in the "Barra" system. The book has good information about 
passive solar design but I'm skeptical about the viability of the 
recirculating underslab system in anything but the simplest volume of 
space. You might want to check the archives for discussions on 
thermal storage.
