[Greenbuilding] A "green", walkable, low-slope roof membrane?

Hi all,
I'm searching for an alternative to the typical PVC membrane for use 
on a low-slope roof deck over a conditioned area (residential). It 
seems that the reviews for new TPO membranes are quite mixed. Any 
success stories out there with other types of  membranes? Thanks,
