I have had hydronic slabs installed using outdoor sensors,
but I found that they were not sensitive enough to Solar
heating, which was the primary heating source in my
houses. I found that I got better, or at least as good
results, for less money, by simply using an interior
thermostat with a 1°F hysteresis, instead of the
standard 2-3°F for a faster responding system.
