insulation. If you need extra strength, go to a wider block, or
build-in piers.
The way to work with blocks is to stack them dry and face bond them.
It will be stronger, go faster, and be more impervious. Check out the
flexible footing discussed here some weeks ago - their method for
setting up for foam blocks should be just the ticket for (the first
course)
of dry stack.
