    setting up for foam blocks should be just the ticket for (the first
course)
    of dry stack.
  
I have never had any luck convincing a mason to do dry stacked surface
bonded concrete block.  Tests show that this is stronger and faster than
conventional block, but they just poo-poo the idea.  There is a special
surface bonding cement for this operation, has some kind of fibers in it
to add tensile strength.
